Thanksgiving is Coming!
Need some creative ideas for your Thanksgiving table? Check out some of our Kid Cafe ideas! Thank you to our Kid Cafe parents who make this awesome experience possible!

King Center Field Trip
Last Tuesday we went to see Bill Peet's The Ant and the Elephant, a wonderful story of friendship and empathy. The children really enjoyed the shadow puppetry and music that made the story come alive! We then went to Wickham Park to eat lunch and get our wiggles out! Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered their time. This was a great trip that helped to reinforce our first unit of inquiry "Family of Friends"!

Sonny's BBQ field trip
Wow! Did we have the best field trip?!! Our trip to Sonny's BBQ in Merritt Island was fantastic! The children were able to really experience different responsibilities and jobs in running a restaurant. We took a tour, learned about hosting, serving, busing, cooking, and being a manager. A HUGE thank you to the McNab family and everyone at Sonny's! Our learning today was simply outstanding!

A New Year
A new year is fully underway, with new faces, new learning and new friendships. We are having a wonderful time learning together. Already, connections are being made, new words are being read and new discoveries have been found. Our first field trip is tomorrow and we have already had a wonderful fall harvest party, been visited by the Cocoa Beach Fire Department and begun our own running club. Our class is full of energy and curiosity and creates an atmosphere that is fun to be in everyday!
I will include some pictures from tomorrow's trip. But for now, please enjoy some of the images captured from our first nine weeks!
